Silver Burdett Making Music Curriculum Program (K-5)
Hamilton teachers implement the Silver Burdett Making Music curriculum which teaches the basics of singing and musical notation and includes songs from many cultures and time periods; children sing and play instruments on a regular basis.
Instrumental Music Program

Hamilton Elementary School offers an instrumental music program to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. 3rd and 4th grade students learn to play the violin. In 5th grade, students have the chance to join instrumental band or orchestra. Participating 5th grade students have the option of playing a string, woodwind, or brass instrument (includes violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and trombone).
This program is offered to students free of charge (instrument rental fee may apply).
Assemblies
A wide variety of music and performing arts assemblies are provided for all students throughout the school year. These assemblies are paid for by the Hamilton PTA.
